Recently I was approached by a publisher to write a book of diabetes tips from medical professionals. Since those already exist, and most medical professionals don't live with diabetes, I thought how much better to gather tips from people who actually do.
These days, it’s nearly impossible to live debt-free. Most of us don’t have ready cash to pay for our cars, homes or college costs. For this reason, holding some amount of debt isn’t necessarily a bad thing. A mortgage, for example, can provide you with certain tax advantages and may replace the rent you would otherwise have to pay; a student loan can help you earn a college degree that may lead to rewarding career.
(BPT) - Anticipating the future can be difficult, particularly when it comes to your finances. But with the improving economy, more people are taking a proactive approach to planning for tomorrow and beyond. This is particularly true of Hispanics, who overall are feeling more positive about their financial situation than in the past.
You can’t go to a Mexican restaurant and not see Chorizo on the menu. Even grocery stores carry a version of Beef/Pork Chorizo. But you never know what kind of meat is used and have you seen all those extra preservatives & processed ingredients on the labell? Yikes! I don’t know about you but I like to know what I’m eating!
Wealth and happiness. The consensus from current research appears to be that having wealth does not, in itself, increase happiness. Wealth can reduce some stress and anxiety but not increase happiness. It seems that happiness is not an end-state but a lens through which people view their world.
