I love my pets, and I have such gratitude, respect and admiration for all veterinary professionals. I'm truly honored to be a part of helping to make a better world for veterinary professionals and ultimately creating a healthier world for pets and people

Creating a holistic suicide prevention and intervention strategy that builds on the current foundation of our health and wellbeing practice. We're working hard to bring long-overdue mental health support, not only to Banfield, but to the industry as whole

Career Twist of Fate – Supporting Veterinarians

As a licensed clinical social worker, I never envisioned that my career path would lead me to work in veterinary medicine; however, in hindsight it makes perfect sense, as my interactions with veterinarians goes as far back as I can remember.

Lisa Stewart-Brown has a passion for building comprehensive mental health strategies to meet the unique needs of associates. With over 20+ years of experience, she integrates mental health and wellbeing into the business by drawing upon her work as a licensed clinical social worker and her MBA knowledge. Prior to Banfield Pet Hospital, Lisa held roles at United States Postal Services Employee Assistant Program, Costco’s Employee Assistant Program, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Rady’s Children’s Hospital.  Lisa lives with her wife, two children and nine pet family members, on a small farm in California.
