What I do

As Director of Veterinary Quality (DVQ), I support the medical needs for 14 Banfield Pet Hospital locations in California’s Inland Empire. I’m a conduit to support pretty much anything the medical teams need.

Why I do it

I love helping animals, and I’m passionate about helping people grow and learn. If I can help others who share my passion for veterinary medicine, then I can help pets on a grander scale.

Taneeka Bautista

Director of Veterinary Quality
Banfield Pet Hospital

As Director of Veterinary Quality, Dr. Taneeka Bautista directs the quality of veterinary care and supports the medical teams at 14 Banfield Pet Hospital locations throughout Southern California’s Inland Empire – an area that stretches 4,850 square miles east of Los Angeles County. She staffs the teams of doctors and paraprofessionals; helps keeps them up to date on the latest guidance related to patient care; and helps connect them to professional and personal development opportunities.

Dr. Bautista earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

After graduation she joined Banfield full-time in Southern California to practice as a veterinarian. Just three years later she moved up to the role of Chief of Staff at a Banfield hospital, and then into her current role as Director of Veterinary Quality.
