Why I do it

I’ve always felt passionate about making sure people are treated ethically and have equal opportunity. I want people to feel like they belong and are empowered to do their life’s greatest work.

Tifanny King

Director of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity
Banfield Pet Hospital

Tiffany King is the Director of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity for Banfield Pet Hospital, where she focuses on sustaining a culture where associates have a sense of belonging and can thrive in their work. Her mission is to create systems that promote equity and equality for associates and the clients they serve.

Several pivotal moments have prepared her for the role she has today. Early in her career she demonstrated creativity by stepping outside her role to create a recruiting strategy, even though that wasn’t her expertise. That opened doors for her and led her to move up the HR ranks at some of nation’s biggest brands, including Starbucks, Apple and now Banfield. Along the way she has been fortunate to play an integral role in the growth of these organizations, re-imagining HR and EI&D.

King graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in English.
