What I Do

As president, I’m focused on leading Banfield into the future, so we can improve the lives of pets and people. We will transform how pets receive care, create new career opportunities in veterinary medicine, and advance societal wellbeing.

I want to be the best I can become so I can make the strongest impact on people’s lives, so they can achieve their potential. This is the personal legacy I want to leave.

My Big Career Moment

I truly believe we can improve human health through pet health. I recently shared my thoughts with healthcare executives and they were genuinely intrigued to learn how pet and human health intersect. There’s real opportunity here!

About Our Associates

Brian Garish

President
Banfield Pet Hospital

I oversee the largest general veterinary practice in the U.S., including more than 1,000 hospitals and 18,000 associates.

I also serve on the board of Banfield’s charitable arm, the Banfield Foundation, which is committed to improving the wellbeing of pets and communities by elevating the power of the pet-human bond, strengthening the pet-welfare community, providing disaster relief for pets, and advancing the science of veterinary medicine through innovation and education.

I’m grateful to be a leader of a company, and I am happy to still feel connected to my 16-year-old self who started sweeping floors, stocking shelves, cashiering and unloading trucks. Balancing the responsibilities of today, while remembering the impact we have on each associate throughout the organization, is humbling.
