A Latin Brew – Flavors from the Coffee Lands

World leaders in coffee production include Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Peru, Mexico, and Guatemala. In fact, the United States imports nearly 40% of its coffee beans from Brazil and Colombia alone. This year, the National Coffee Association’s market research showed that coffee consumption is stronger among Hispanic Americans, with 74 percent drinking coffee daily. So Latinos love their coffee-- but is there more to learn about it? Let’s take a look.

How Self-Stigma Hurts People With Depression

When my daughter was admitted into a psych ward I found out how true this is. The stigma- especially in the Latino community is mindboggling. I had NO help at all during this very emotional time. My frustration lead me to start the #StopTheStigma campaign , sharing not only resources, but to help spread the word of the need for this. The need is so monumental, that July is "National Minority Mental Illness Awareness Month". Gracias for highlighting this taboo.
